Not everybody is an April Fool.
For example the whole lets put Ontario’s excessive Hydro bills on another credit card at a higher interest rate thing didn’t work for Premier Kathleen Wynne and didn’t fool the public.
The next batch of opinion polls following that kicking the Hydro can down the road for our kids to pay for showed her at 12% approval and at risk of winning just seven seats in next year’s election, which could cause the fat cat Liberals to lose official party status.
Nowhere to go but up. It will be interesting to see if the next shiny diversion will result in a bounce for the premier as we enjoy April Fool’s Day 2017.
Wynne and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau showed up to talk about $4-billion infrastructure spending commitments for new GTA GO Trains.
It might work but the public seems to know the federal part of the commitment is money already left over from the Harper government’s earmarks and the provincial part is less than what was spent for two weeks on the Pan Am Games.
None of it’s fooling “future” premier Patrick Brown who has seen the Liberal two-step before.
