Got something to say? Go for it!
A hundred years before the advent of Hitler, the German-Jewish poet, Heinrich Heine, had declared: “Wherever books are burned, human beings are destined to be burned too.” May 10, 1933 – Students and storm troopers on the Opera Square in Berlin with books and writings deemed “unGerman.”
Then there was Huey Long, a populist Senator from Louisiana, who some say said this in books and magazines of the 1930s, and 40s: “When fascism comes to America it will be called anti-fascism.” Long was assassinated in 1935 and it’s unclear if he said this, or if it was invented after his assassination.
Only the wilfully blind can fail to see the comparison. Today, university students at colleges across America are conducting themselves pretty much as did the students in Germany. The only difference is that all conservatives are their books.
Trump and his DOJ urgently need to step forward and deal with these anarchists with extreme prejudice while there is still time.
These anarchist and yes fascist gangs are marching across America under the faux banner of anti-fascism. As Senator Long warned way back in the 1930’s… “When fascism comes to America it will be called anti-fascism.” And so it has come to pass. Now, America are you going to roll over and let them destroy your Republic or are you going to do whatever it takes to stop them? You don’t have all the time in the world to decide.
The Wizard of Oz said to the Scare Crow “I can’t give you a brain but I can give you a diploma”……
Sadly, that describes most university “education” right now. The parents must be so proud: spending tens of thousands of dollars to produce illiterate, innumerate (and mostly indebted) peons with no capacity for critical thought … or criticism.
But, hey, they have degrees. Because when everyone has a degree …
