DRIVERS have been warned about a new technique used by thieves across the UK to break into vehicles.

The worrying trend sees crooks target motorists in vehicles with keyless entry.

Dubbed the “relay” method, this method involves two criminals – one who intercepts the signal from the key fob, and another who uses the replicated key fob signal to open the car.

One criminal stands close to the vehicle, while another stays close to the key fob.
